The Mouse and the Motorcycle STEM Activity - Homes for Ralph

Students were presented with the following task.  They could work independently or in pairs in our fabulous Makerspace to create their designs.  The children were so engaged in the activity.  It was fun to see how they chose different materials and to see the variety of designs they came up with.

You and your family have traveled to California and guess where you are staying?  That’s right, room 215 of the Mountain View Inn.  You and Ralph have become good friends, and since he is now a mouse of great responsibility, he has asked if he can move out with you to see the world.  After vacationing with you, Ralph will be living in your home.  Being a very independent and proud mouse, Ralph will need his own home within your house.  A cage would never do!  You need to build a house for Ralph using materials you find in the Makerspace. Your home for Ralph may or may not include a garage for his motorcycle.  Use your imagination.
