Native American Perspectives

The children were treated to an amazing program called Native American Perspectives with Dan Cripps.  We would like to thank the TPA for funding this wonderful experience.

The students learned that the men always entered the tipi first and were seated to the right.  Ladies joined after the men and were seated to the left.

Dan showed the students how the antlers of deer and moose could be used as garden tools.

Native Americans used all parts of the animal after a hunt.  Horns were used as spoons.  The hide of the animal was used to create toy boxes and clothes.
