Wampanoag Wetus

The students had a blast today making the summer homes of the Wampanoag tribe.

Pipe cleaners served as saplings to create the frame.

Coarse paper towels represented tree bark.

Plimoth Plantation

We had a wonderful day visiting The Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, the English Village and the Wampanoag Homesite.  It was a bit breezy early on, but the skies cleared and the sun came out which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

A Visit From Benjamin Franklin

Today we were treated to a presentation from Historical Perspectives for Children.  An actor portraying Benjamin Franklin came to speak to the entire third grade.  You'll notice many costume changes in the photos below.  The students watched as Ben changed from adult to child and back to an adult again. Please ask your child to tell you about the presentation.
