Memorial Day Program
The third graders did a wonderful job honoring our fallen soldiers and their families today. As students read A Poppy Is To Remember by Heather Patterson, the students created a field of poppies in the background. Several of our third graders recited In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. Here are a few photos of their presentations.

Author Visit - Brandon Mull
We were treated to a fabulous presentation by author Brandon Mull today. He has written a multitude of books and many have appeared on the NY Times Bestseller List. He had several key pieces of advice for our students.
1. Use your personal experiences as ideas for stories.
2. Practice your craft often.
3. Reading everyday helps you to become a better writer.
4. Don't give up. It took him several years before he found a publisher for his books.
