Science Fair
I was incredibly impressed by all of the projects. The students did an amazing job planning, creating and presenting their work. Their enthusiasm was contagious. I could see their eyes light up as visitors asked them questions and as they replied with thoughtful answers. Well done, kiddos!

How Does Your Garden Grow?
The third grade garden was a great success this year. Students planted peas, carrots, radishes, lettuce, chives and potatoes a few weeks ago. Today, the students were able to harvest many of the vegetables and enjoy a homegrown salad. We would like to thank Mrs. White and all of her garden helpers for their hard work and effort during this project.

Author Study
The students have really enjoyed learning about the following authors: Jannell Cannon, Jan Brett, Steven Kellogg, Eve Bunting, Robert McCloskey and Patricia Polacco. Throughout the month of May, the students researched the authors, read their books and completed a variety of activities relating to the books. Each student was able to choose either a poster, Google Slideshow, author letter or magazine cover to present their work to each other. Here are some photos of the students sharing their work.
